Ecuadorian Civilian Space Agency (EXA, Spanish: Agencia Espacial Civil Ecuatoriana) - a private Ecuadorian non-governmental space agency. It was founded on November 1, 2007 in Guayaquil as the first space agency in the history of Ecuador. Its goal is to implement the Ecuadorian Civil Space Program, conduct research in the field of planetary and cosmic sciences and accelerate the development of science in the country. From 29 September 2008, he is a member of the International Federation of Astronautics.

The founder of the agency is Ronnie Nader (born 1967), engineer and professor of astrobiology, who in June 2007 completed training at the Cosmonaut Training Center. J. Gagarina in Star Town near Moscow, thus becoming the first Ecuadorian astronaut. He is the director of the space operations department and the honorary director of the board and actively participates in all EXA projects. Due to the limited budget he has not yet flown into space, although there are plans to send him in a suborbital flight on one of the private space companies.

The most important achievement of EXA is the construction and launch into space in 2013 of two twin satellites, CubeSat: NEE-01 Pegaso and NEE-02 Krysaor, the first Ecuadorian satellites. The first of them was launched into orbit using the Chinese Chang Zheng 2D rocket, and the second one was a Russian-Ukrainian Dnepr missile.

EXA together with the Ecuadorian Air Force also runs a flight and research program in microgravity conditions on board a specially adapted aircraft Sabreliner T-39. Bibliography
