Tomasz Kowalski (tourist activist)
Tomasz Stanisław Kowalski (born 5 February 1953 in Krakow, 1 August 2013) - Polish tourism activist, long-time director of the Cracovia Hotel in Cracow, social advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland and member of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Radio (two terms). Marta Kowalska's wife, Jakub's son.
He graduated from the Cracow High School and the Cracow Polytechnic at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In the years 1991 - 2011 he was the director of the "Cracovia" Hotel in Cracow belonging to the Orbis network until its closure. Between 1995 and 2005 he was a social advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski. Member of the Supervisory Board of the Museum of Conservation of Monuments "Arkona" Spółka z oo.o. in Cracow. Co-author of the Krakow Chamber of Tourism. An activist of the Teatr Stu Foundation and the "Almatur" Travel and Tourism Agency. In 2001 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland
