Poznan Tageblatt

Posener Tageblatt (1862 - 1879: Ostdeutsche Zeitung, from Deutsche Posener Zeitung, 1869) was a German-language journal published in the years 1862-1939.

The publisher was Concordia, one of the largest German press companies in interwar Poland. In the interwar period the circulation of the newspaper reached 10,000 copies. The diary, initially liberal and advocating religious and national equality, had consistently anti-Polish character since 1879, and after 1918 questioned the arrangements of the Versailles Treaty and printed offensive articles in Polish internal affairs. The editorial office was in conflict with the authorities of the Second Polish Republic. Since 1879, Posener Provinzialblatter has also been printed. The last edition appeared on October 31, 1939 (successor to Ostdeutscher Beobachter).
