Piotr Kusiewicz
Piotr Kusiewicz (born June 30, 1953 in Gdańsk) - Polish tenor. His father was Jan Kusiewicz.
He studied at the Academy of Music. Stanisław Moniuszki in Gdańsk - piano playing in the class of Zbigniew Śliwiński (diploma 1977) and singing in the class of Jerzy Szymański (diploma with distinction in 1980).
For two terms in the years 1990-1996 he was the dean of the Vocal and Acting Department at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Since 1996, he has been the Head of the Department of Vocal Studies at this university.
On October 4, 2001, he received the title of professor of musical arts from the President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
In 2008 he received the cross of Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, the highest distinction awarded to lay people by Pope Benedict XVI.
