Muhsin al-Ramli (ar محسن الرملي) (born March 7, 1967 in Sudara (Iraq)) - Iraqi writer, poet, journalist and translator, creating in Arabic and Spanish.
His older brother was Ḥasan Muṭlak, also a writer and poet, sentenced to death by the regime of Saddam Hussein and hanged in 1990. Muhsin al-Ramli studied Spanish philology at the University of Baghdad. In 1995 he went to Spain, where he continued his studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In 2003 he obtained a doctorate in literature and Spanish philology. His doctoral dissertation dealt with elements of Islamic culture in Don Quixote. He lives in Madrid, works as a lecturer at Saint Louis University Madrid Campus. He is a co-founder and editor of the Alwah magazine, the only Spanish-language magazine on Arab culture.
