Julián Carrillo
Julián Carrillo, Carillo (born January 28, 1875 in Ahualulco, died September 9, 1965 in Mexico) - Mexican composer, violinist and conductor.
He was an Indian. He grew up in the city of Mexico, where he learned violin and composition, and traveled to Western Europe and the USA. In the years 1905-1914 he was the director of the conservatory in Mexico. From 1895, he experimented in the field of microtone music operating 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 of the whole sound. He composed operas, symphonies, Horizontes for violin, cello, harp and orchestra (1947), Preludio a Cristóbal Colón for soprano and five instruments (1940), Ave Maria (1922) and string quartets.
