Jadwiga Majowna (18th February 1863, died June 20, 1943) - social activist, graduate of the Higher A Course for Women, A. Baraniecki (1891), Woman's Seminary in Cracow (1894), where she became a teacher from 1896 and introduced Swedish gymnastics. She was also the owner of the Department of Healing and Salon Gymnastics for Girls and Women and the president of the Teachers' Association in Cracow. Co-organized the female Scout teams (1913) and was the editor of the Polish Scout. Gymnastics method at the Annual State Physical Education Courses (1921-1924), then at the Jagiellonian University School of Physical Education (1927-1931). She participated in International School Hygiene Conferences, went on a study tour to Sweden and Finland. Its name was named Olszanica Street, part of the District VII Zwierzyniec. Bibliography
