Deacon Litz


Artha Benson "Deacon" Litz (born 2 August 1897 in DuBois, 3 January 1967 in Daytona Beach) is an American racing driver. Career

In his career, Litz has been involved in the AAA Championship Car Championship in the United States and the famous Indianapolis 500 race championship in 1923-1930, one of the Grandes Épreuves races. In the third season of the season, in 1930 he was on the podium four times. With a score of 464.6 points was classified in the fifth position in the general classification. Four years later, he competed only in the Indianapolis 500, finishing fourth. In 1935 he was in eighth place, and in the AAA championship he was ranked thirteenth. Bibliography
