Tenement Morsztyn Tenement House

Wierzynek - a restaurant located in Kraków at the Main Market Square. It was founded in 1945 by Kazimierz Książek as the Pod Wierzynkiem restaurant. Its name refers to the figure of a burgher of Mikołaj Wierzynek and the famous feast he published in 1364, in which he participated, among others Emperor Charles IV of Luxembourg, Casimir III the Great and many other kings and princes. A separate article: Feast at Wierzynek.

The restaurant is located in the tenement house Morsztynowska (No. 16) and tenement house Pinocińska (No. 15) and on the first floor of the Hetmańska tenement (No. 17). The ground floor is occupied by a cafe. The first floor consists of four rooms: Sala Zegarowa, Tatrzańska (Chamber of Imagination), Kolumnowa and Wierzynkowa. The Knight's Room is located half a floor above. On the second floor there are three rooms: Sala Pompejańska Duża and Mała and Sala Renaissance. These are rooms, depending on the needs, restaurant, banquet or dance.

Currently, the restaurant is run by Elżbieta Filipiak - wife of a well-known Kraków businessman Janusz Filipiak. Bibliography
