Warsaw (track)

Warsaw - Warsaw band song, soon to be renamed Joy Division, on the first EP of An Ideal for Living. A song composed under the influence of Warsaw David Bowie. Although recorded on March 14, 1979, it was officially released only in 1994 on the planned 1978 debut album Warsaw. The subject of the work is the lyrical biography of Rudolf Hess, the High Dignitary of the Third Reich, with the highest confidence of Hitler, who in 1941 flew alone to Scotland to attempt peace between the Axis and the Allies.

The song starts with "3 5 0 1 2 5 Go!" The first verse describes the fascination with Hitler during the Munich siege of 1923 and the tightening of ties with the Nazi party. "The second verse speaks of the loss of illusion and the alienation of Hitler's deputy from close circle. The chorus part repeats the rhythmic "31G", which is the initial element of his prison number: "31" is the code of the prisoner captured on the European front, and the letter "G" (German) - the nationality of the prisoner.

The song is used in Tony Hawk's Underground 2 video game. Bibliography
