Baa, Baa, Black Sheep
One of the English texts Baa, Baa, Black Sheep - a popular English song for children also known in the United States and Sweden (Bä, bä, vita lamm).
The oldest documented version dates from 1731. The text has changed slightly today. It is sung for the French melody Ah! Vous dirai-je, Maman (1761). Attempts to explain the origin of the text indicate its association with English wool or slave trade, hence the song is currently considered by some circles to be politically incorrect.
The title of the song is also the name of the television series Baa, Baa, Black Sheep.
