Andrzej Chodyniecki
Andrzej Chodyniecki (born 6 December 1922 in Leśmierz, Łódzkie Voivodship, May 3, 1989) - Polish ichthyologist, professor and vice-rector of the Agricultural University in Szczecin, professor at the Agricultural and Technical Academy in Olsztyn.
In 1952, he completed his studies at the Jagiellonian University and worked at the Department of Fish Diseases of the Veterinary Institute in Wroclaw. At the same time he completed his studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Agriculture in Wroclaw, graduating in 1958 with a diploma of veterinary surgeon. In 1959 he moved to Olsztyn, where he worked at the Department of Fish Diseases at the Department of Fisheries at the University of Agriculture (later Agricultural and Technical University, now the University of Warmia and Mazury). In 1963 he earned his doctorate in natural sciences on the basis of the thesis of the role of Aeromonas punctata Zimmermann in the etiology of carp septa and in 1968 he habilitated on the basis of the work of Antibiotic and symbiosis among some aquatic bacteria.
In 1969, he was in Szczecin, after transferring to the local Higher School of Agriculture a part of the Faculty of Fisheries of the Olsztyn Academy. In the years 1969-1972 he served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty (next under the name of Fisheries Department, Department of Marine Fisheries, finally Department of Marine Fisheries and Food Technology). From 1973 to 1975 he was deputy director of the Institute of Marine Technology of the Sea, 1981-1982 the rector of the university, already under the name of the Agricultural University in Szczecin. He was one of the co-authors of the Department of Fishery Hygiene (he was also the head of this Department). From 1984 to 1988 she was in charge of the Department of Ichtiopathology and Toxicology.
In September 1988 he returned to Olsztyn, where he assumed the leadership of the Chair of Basic Fisheries Sciences and the Department of Fish Diseases and Toxicology. He died less than a year later.
He belonged to many scientific societies, among others. The Polish Society of Veterinary Science and the Polish Hygienic Society. He chaired the Working Group on Toxicology at the International Commission for the Exploration and Conservation of Seas and Oceans. He published more than 100 scientific papers, including four scripts and three textbooks, promoted six doctors and three habilitated doctors.
He was the original author of an innovative scientific publication, Chiropractic, which after his death was completed by Zbigniew Jara. Bibliography
