Logistics recovery

Recovering logistics - the process of planning, implementing and controlling the efficient and cost-effective flow of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products along with associated flows of information from the place of consumption to the place of origin for recovery or proper management.

Other definitions of logistic recovery are also found in the literature, defining it as a flow of goods from the consumer to the producer in the distribution channel or as a to the role of logistics in recycling, waste depositing and hazardous waste management; in a broader perspective, including logistical activities related to source reduction, recycling, substitution, material reuse and storage.

Recovering logistics is also referred to as the process of planning, implementing and controlling the efficient and cost-effective flow of recyclable materials within the supply chain and related raw materials in a direction opposite to the direction of flows in the traditional supply chain to recover value or proper management. / p>

The definition of Fleischmann is the most comprehensive definition of the essence of logistics recovery. Recovery logistics is responsible for the return of goods related to damage, seasonality of products, resale, customer returns, inventory balancing, waste management.

The implementation of logistics recovery processes in practice requires changes in the material and technical infrastructure of the supply chain and work on the development of supply chain management theories within the so- Closed Loop Supply Chain or otherwise called "cradle to cradle" (cradle to cradle). This is important in that the traditional supply chain is not adapted to meet the current expectations and needs of consumers in terms of recovery.

The recovery process (including recycling) within the supply chain can be of two types:

The system of sources and types of flows in the supply chain related to recovery is presented in the table below. Bibliography
