Astrid Krag
Astrid Krag Kristensen (born November 17, 1982 in Vejle) is a Danish politician and parliamentarian, Minister of Health in the years 2011-2014. Curriculum vitae
She was educated at the Tørring Amtsgymnasium and in 2003-2007 she studied political science at the University of Copenhagen. She worked for nursing and home care.
She became involved in political activities within the People's Socialist Party. In the years 2005-2007 she directed her youth organization Socialistisk Folkepartis Ungdom. In 2001 and 2005 she was unsuccessful in running for parliament, sitting in October 2006 as deputy deputy of Villy Søvndal. In 2007 and 2011 she was granted the mandate of Folketinget. In October 2011, he was appointed Minister for Health and Prevention in the left-wing coalition government, Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt. In 2012 she applied for leadership in her party, losing to Annette Vilhelmsen. In February 2014, she left the government when her party left the coalition. In the same month she moved to the ruling Social Democrat party. For the third time in 2015, the Social Democrats have been elected to the Danish Parliament.
