It comes from a small village in the southern Rhodopes. Since childhood, she sang folk songs from her region. At the end of the 1950s, she joined the Rhodopian State Song and Dance Ensemble in Smoljan. Since 1960 he has been a solo artist. Her repertoire includes more than 300 folk songs. The best known song, also outside of Bulgaria, was Izlel je Delio hajdutin (Излел е Делю хайдутин), recorded for the first time in 1968, with musicians playing on the Bulgarian grooves - Lazar Kanewski and Stefan Zachmanov. The track was recorded on the Voyager Golden Record, which in 1977 took space Voyager 1 spacecraft; It also appears as the opening song for the Afghan documentary Restrepo.
