Mirosław Dzień


Mirosław Day (born December 12, 1965) is a Polish poet, representative of the metaphysical movement, essayist, literary critic and professor at the University of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biala.

Graduate of philosophy and theology of the Catholic University of Lublin. In 1988-1990 Internationale Scholarship at the Academy of Philosophy in Liechtenstein. Habilitated doctor of humanities in the field of literary studies at the University of Wrocław. Author of dozens of articles, essays and reviews published min. in "Texts of the Second", "Quarterly Artistic", "Topos", "Kresy". Since 1990 he has published more than 150 poems in literary journals. His printed works were min. in "Kultura" (Paris), "Tygodnik Powszechny", "Creativity", "Oder", "Literary Papers", "Więzi", "Kresy", "Kwartalnik Artystycznych", "Topos", "Fronda" some significant anthologies. Twice nominated for the Poetry Prize. K.I. Gałczyński - Orpheus: in 2014 for the volume Linia a in 2015 for the volume of Axis Mundi. Head of the Department of Economic and Social Sciences at the Technical and Humanist Academy in Bielsko-Biała.
