Aquarium fish
Great gorillas - one of the first aquarium fish
Aquarium fish - common name of fish placed in a special tank intended for her observation and breeding. The first mention of fish farming for entertainment purposes comes from the Sumerians, who dealt with this at least 2,500 years old.
Initially, only small species of fish were stocked in small aquariums. These were mainly freshwater species, intensively, often contrastingly colored, with original shapes and interesting biology. Sea fish were originally kept by the Romans (in the early n. Centuries) in the home pools. With the advancement of technology, the construction of large aquariums began, which allowed for the placement of even very large fish in the tanks, not only freshwater but also marine.
Commonly cultured freshwater aquarium fish include, but are not limited to: fish, goldfish, cardinals, roses, molluscs, cockatiels, geckos, guarmos, fighters, scalars, guppies, barbels and nurses. Bibliography
