Hervé Jamar
Hervé E.L. Jamar (born January 1, 1965 in Huy) - Belgian and Walloon lawyer, self-government and politician, from 2014 to 2015 budget minister. Curriculum vitae
In 1988 he completed his law studies at the Université de Liège. He obtained his lawyer's degree while practicing law in his hometown.
Political activity began in liberal youth and student organizations. He became a member of the Reformation-Liberal Party. function as Deputy Secretary General. Together with the Polish People's Republic he joined the Reformation Movement. Since 1989 he was a councilor of Hannut, and in 1995-2003 he was the mayor. From 2003 to 2007 he was Secretary of State in the second cabinet of Guy Verhofstadt, subordinate to the finance minister and responsible for modernizing finance and combating fraud.
In 2007 he became a member of the French parliament and in the 2009 Walloon Parliament. In 2014, the federal government, headed by Charles Michel, took over the post of Minister of Budget and National Lottery. He departed from the Cabinet on September 22, 2015 in connection with his appointment as governor of the province of Liège.
