Davor Romić


Davor Romić (born on January 4, 1958 in Metković) - Croatian agronomist and university teacher, professor, in 2016 Minister of Agriculture. Curriculum vitae

In 1982 he graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Zagreb. Magisterium (1991) and doctorate (1994) obtained at the same university. He also studied at colleges in Bari and Haifa and Utah State University. He specialized in issues related to land drainage, in particular irrigation. Professionally associated with the parent department, in 2003 he became a professor, he received a full professorship in 2009. He was a deputy dean of the agricultural sciences department (1999-2001), head of the melioration institute (2001-2006) and dean of the faculty of agricultural sciences (2006-2012). He was a member of the rector's and senate college of the University of Zagreb.

In January 2016, on the recommendation of the Most Independent Letter grouping, he was appointed the Minister of Agricultural Protection in the government of Tihomir Orešković. He completed his office with the entire cabinet in October 2016, subsequently taking over the mandate of the Member of the Croatian Assembly.
