Andrzej Bonasewicz
Andrzej Bonasewicz (born September 24, 1930 in Vilnius, died January 21, 2016 in Warsaw) - Polish geographer, professor at Warsaw University.
He worked at the Warsaw University in 1951-2010, associated with the Department of Geography and Regional Studies. He studied economic and regional geography, especially Latin America, and visited almost all countries in the region.
He also lectured at universities in Venezuela and Mexico.
Between 1990-1996 he was Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw, and in 1997-2000 he was the head of the Department of Regional Geography. He was a member of the Committee for Migration Research at the First Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Geographical Society, the Warsaw Committee of the Geographical Olympics and a member of the European Council for Latin American Social Studies (CEISAL).
One of the pioneers of Polish voxology, was a founding member of the Polish Society of Vulnerability.
Known as a popularizer of knowledge in the field of geography, since 1970 he was an expert in the "Great Game" TV show in Polish Television.
