Sejm 1703
Sejm 1703 - Extraordinary Sejm, sitting in Lublin from June 11 to July 19, 1703.
Convened on May 12, the Sejm was held on May 31 - June 3, 1703. The Marshal of the Sejm was Michael Marshal, a Lithuanian hetman. The Seym completed the success of King August II and his followers. Removed opponents - deputies from Wielkopolska - from parliamentary debates during parliamentary rallies. Numerous constitutions were adopted. The Seym authorized the king to enter into an alliance with the Tsar Peter I the Great and agreed to call for 48,000 troops. soldiers.
