Wiesław Gołajewska
Wiesław Gołajewska (born 1928 in Cieszyn, died December 9, 2015) is a Polish artist, designer of industrial designs, an outstanding designer of ceramics.
In the years 1948-1952 Wiesława Gołajewska studied at the Faculty of Ceramics at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. In 1953 she earned a diploma in prof. Rudolph Krzywec and became senior inspector for design in the Ceramic Industry Federation. After 1955 she was involved in creating decorative and functional ceramics projects and moved to Warsaw.
In the years 1962-1967 and 1974-1988 she worked as a senior designer in the Tableware Factory "Pruszków", designed numerous vases, pateras, small ceramic ware, her product is recognized as an icon of Polish design in the 60s and 70s of the twentieth century. .
Wieslaw Gołajewska died on December 9, 2015; was buried on 14th December 2015 at the Powązki Cemetery. Bibliography
