401Z - a low-carbon wagon intended for the carriage of coal and iron ore, and after being stripped of it the sideboard could serve as a platform for the transport of heavy vehicles. It was a total of three variations.
The wagon project was created in 1960 at the Central Railway Rolling Stock Construction Industry. In the car the box walls are divided into 6 parts: the side walls consist of each of the two elements and the front parts consist of one element. The first prototypes were built in December 1961 and the production was carried out in Ostrowiec until 1963. The construction was resumed in Świdnica in 1966 and then the documentation was modified. Modifications were made to carts (from 1XT to 1XTa), so the maximum speed was increased to 100 km / h. Another modification that took place in 1968 was the delivery of PKP wagons in two versions: Eamos (with ramps) and with ramps (Rpps). There were also prototypes with heating in the floor (401Zc) as well as wagons for ingots for Katowice Steelworks (40Zh).
The maximum loading capacity was 30 m³ and the minimum arc radius was 90 m.
There was also a small batch on 25TNa. Comments 1974 Jerzy Rychlicki.
