Frank Lockhart


Frank Stallworth Lockhart (born April 8, 1903 in Dayton, April 25, 1928, in Daytona Beach) is an American racing driver. Career

In his career, Lockhart has competed mainly in the United States for the AAA Championship Car Championship and the Indianapolis 500, one of the Grandes Épreuves' races in 1923-1930. In his first season, he won the Indianapolis 500 race in 1926. In the AAA championship, he was eight on the podium, including five times his highest. With the achievement of 1830 points was classified in the second position in the general classification. A year later, in the race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, he won pole position, but was eliminated by a 120 lap crash. This time he won four victories.
