You will float Olzo in the valley
River Olza in Gródek
"You flow Olzo after the valley ..." is the unofficial hymn of Cieszyn Silesia (especially Poles on the so-called Zaolziu), a manifestation of the Polishness of the region, written by Polish teacher Jan Kubisz (1848-1929).
The song was published in 1889 under the title of Nad Olza in Singings of Old Jak. Text of the song You'll float Olzo, across the valley, you swell like years ago, same on your bank spring flowers bloom And your water in your gear, They were not confused; And so they glisten in the sun, How old were they? But people in your life they changed very much, by the way, the faith of the ancestors they just do not despise And the old oak over your bank as he raged so loudly, a grandson's old grandfather's speech barely understands On your bank of old singing the shit is saying, and today our beautiful songs hardly anyone who sings In the holy land of the Khanate river Jordan flows, in its waters of Israel the people were cleansing So with a prayer I knelt in humility before the Lord You should be standing, Olzo, like that and for us Jordan Then once, when in the waves spring wind will blow, Your grandson will hear in your waves the noise its ancestors going on Grandson will sit on your shore take care of the past And will live for his land action and love!
