Maciej Wyrobek, also known as DJ Maceo Wyro (born October 13, 1971, May 14, 2014) is a Polish avant garde musician, DJ, member of Paraphrenia, Citadel and Innocent Wizards. Life and activities

He began his music career as a bass player for the rock band Paraphrenia. He then became involved in creating electronic music, working as a resident DJ at the Warsaw Filtration Club. In the years 1995-1999 he lived in New York. In 2002 he graduated from the Red Bull Music Academy in London. He co-created the Innocent Wizards, with whom he also performed in the UK, France, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. The band combined jazz with breakbeat, funk, neo soul or hip-hop. He collaborated with such artists as Tomasz Stańko, Monika Brodka, Novika, Pink Freud, and Maria Sadowska.

In 2008 he performed at the Open'er Festival.

In addition to his musical career, he has worked for journalism, collaborated with the Radio, and since 2009 he has been performing "Cosmos" on Roxy Radio. He worked with Machin, Aktivist, Fluid, Laif and Kmag. He also organized the Warsoul Sessions.

He died unexpectedly, had an aneurysm that broke and caused a stroke in the brain.

His parents were Hanna Rek and Bogusław Wyrobek. Bibliography
