Hanna Konopka

Hanna Stanisław Konopka (born 5 June 1949, died 18 October 2015 in Bialystok) is a Polish historian of modern history, professor of humanities. She specialized in didactics of history, history of education and state-church relations. Curriculum vitae

In 1996, at the Faculty of Humanities of the Catholic University of Lublin, based on the academic achievements and the thesis entitled " Religion in the schools of People's Poland. The issue of teaching religion in state policy 1944-1961 received a doctorate degree in habilitation of the humanities in the field of history, specialty: the latest history. On January 29, 2015 the President of the Republic of Poland granted her the title of Professor of Humanities. She was an associate professor at the University of Bialystok in the Institute of History of the Faculty of History and Sociology. She was a professor at the Higher School of Public Administration. Myrmex Indikos, pol. Indian ant - an alleged species of gigantic ants (according to Herodot's description, larger than foxes, but smaller than dogs). The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia. Gold was to be obtained by caravans made up of several camels in the heat of the day, when the ants were protected underground.
