History and music

The band was formed in 2004 by Antoine Hadjioannou (drums), Matthieu Canaguiera (bass) and Shantidas Riedacker (guitar). The name Aluk Todolo comes from the Celebes languages ​​(Indonesia) and can be translated as a way of ancient beliefs or ancestors. It refers to animistic, local cults.
