Career

Dougall started his career in international car races in 1975 from the start of the Ford Formula Festival. He finished third in the race. In subsequent years, he also appeared in British Formula 3 BRDC Vandervell, Donington Trophy, British Formula 3 BARC BP Super Visco, European Formula 2 and British Saloon Car Championship.

In the European Formula 2, South Africa started in 1978-1980. In the first season of the race in nine races once stood on the podium. The five points earned him the 13th place in the final drivers' classification. A year later he started in twelve races. He stood on the podium twice and once on his highest level.
