Mikhail Vorotsky


Mikhail Ivanovich Vorotynsky (Russian: Mikhail Ivyanovich Vorotsky, born around 1516, died 1573) - Russian commander.

He came from the family of the princes of wierchów. In 1552, he conquered Khanate Kazanski. Then he built a line of fortifications defending against the invasion of the Crimean Khanate. In 1561-1565 he was imprisoned by the Tsar in Belozersky. Then Governor Kazania. In 1572 he defeated the Crimean Tatars near Molodia.
