Iwan Szkott


Iwan Andreeevich Szkott, Russian Иван Андреевич Шкотт (born November 14, 1903 in Moscow, May 19, 1933 in Paris) is a Russian writer and columnist, literary activist.

In 1920 he graduated from the working class school in Moscow. In 1921 he began his chemistry studies at the physics-mathematics faculty of the Moscow University. In the spring of 1924 he was arrested by the OGPU. After the trial, he was sentenced to mails sent to the Narymian Region. In the spring of 1925 he managed to run away, then in October this year illegally crossed the Soviet-Polish border. In Poland he was arrested, but he was soon released. In January 1926 he arrived in France. He worked in a metallurgical factory. Then he settled in Paris. He taught mathematics privately. In 1928 he joined the literary group "Koczewje". He graduated from Russian Technical School. He wrote in "Wola Rossii" and "Poslednije Novosti". In 1929 he wrote a novel titled " "Malchicas and Diewoczki". Other literary works destroyed. He used the pseudonym Ivan Boiddyv. In 1933 he committed suicide. Bibliography
