Epiclesis of the Eucharist - a specific form of epiclesis, a prayer of imploring the Holy Spirit to unite the participants of the Mass as a mystical community and make of them (together with Jesus) a sacrifice for God the Father. It is present in the ordinary form of the Roman rite as part of the Eucharistic prayer after sacrificial prayer, and before the intercession prayers for the Church, for the living and the dead. Before the Second Vatican Council, there were five short prayers after the conversion: Unde et memores, Supra quae, Supplices te rogamus, Memento, Nobis quoque.
