Adam Kocko


Adam Kocko, born April 24, 1882 in Szołomyy - died July 1, 1910 in Lviv) is a Ukrainian student activist.

He was active in establishing a Ukrainian university in Lviv. He died during the riots at the University of Lviv, depending on the source shot by Polish students or the stray bullet fired by Ukrainian rioters. His death greatly influenced the radicalization of the Ukrainian student movement.

His mother was Polish, Salomea Kocko. Grandfather of Adam Kocki (after his side) fought in the Polish national uprising; probably - Kościuszko.

Buried in the Lychakiv Cemetery. Bibliography
