Vincenzo Tables
Vincenzo Galdi (born 1871 in Naples, December 23, 1961 in Rome) is an Italian photographer and model.
He started his career as a model and student of Guglielmo Plüschow, whom he met while he was in Naples. Together with him he moved to Rome and there he assisted in running the studio. There are many indications that Galdi was his lover for some time. In 1900 he married Virginia Gugliel, but his contacts with the teacher continued, Rome deliberately settled in the neighborhood. Galdi photographed nude people, both women and men, modeled on Plüschow's work, but his photographs bear distinct signs of eroticism. He did not pay much attention to the aesthetics, was focused on serial production and income. After the arrest of Plüschow in 1902 he managed his estate, after another arrest 1907 Plüschow ended his career. Vincenzo Galdi was also arrested at the time and, after his release from prison, abandoned the photograph and founded the Galati Gallery at Via Gaeta, which operated until at least the mid 1950s.
