Pierre-Louis Lions
Pierre-Louis Lions (born 11 August 1956 in Grasse) is a French mathematician. Curriculum vitae Pierre-Louis Lions is the son of mathematician Jacques-Louis Lions and André Olivier. When he was six, his father became a professor in Paris. He attended Pasteur High School and then to Louisa-le-Grand High School. From 1975 to 1979 he studied at the École normale supérieure. In 1979 he received a doctorate in science, and after receiving his doctorate on December 1, 1979, he married Lily Laurenti. This relationship has Dorian's son. In 1981 he was appointed professor at Paris-Dauphine University. In 1994 he was honored with the Fields Medal at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Zurich for work on partial differential equations.
