Lenore Kight


Lenore M. Kight-Wingard (born September 26, 1911, died February 9, 2000) - an American swimmer. Two-time Olympic medalist.

She participated in two Olympic Games (IO 32, IO 36), on both of them she won medals on the distance of 400 meters freestyle. In 1932 she took second place, losing only to her compatriot Helene Madison. In 1936 she was the third. She beat 7 world records and 23 national ones. In 1981 she was accepted as a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
