Kasper Wielogłowski
Kasper Wielogłowski of the Staryanek coat of arms (d. 1846 or 1847) - landowner, extraordinary state senator, senator of the Congress Kingdom, President of the Senate of the Free City of Cracow, minister in the insurrectionary government during the Cracow uprising.
Kasper Wielogłowski was from a wealthy landowner. His father was Józef Wielogłowski, a member of the Sejm four years, and mother of Joseph of Baden. During the Duchy of Warsaw he was a councilor of the Prefectural Department of Krakow. After the fall of the Duchy, from the tsarist nomination he was a senator of the Congress of the Congress and was elected president of the Cracow Region Commission (based in Kielce).
On March 24, 1833, he assumed the office of the President of the Senate of the Free City of Krakow. As indicated by the occupying powers, in practice he tried to pursue a policy in the interest of the Republic of Cracow. He developed a plan for the development of communication routes, introduced into circulation the coin of the Commonwealth. He contributed to the rescue of the demolition of the church. Catherine at Krakow's Kazimierz. On February 25, 1836, he resigned from office to protest the occupation of Cracow by the occupying forces and expel expatriates from the city.
During the uprising of Cracow, he became Minister of the Interior in the insurrectionary government of the dictator Jan Tyssowski. After the fall of the uprising, he was arrested and imprisoned in Warsaw.
He belonged to the Freemason's Superstition box. Three times married - with Marianna Wiercińska, Urszula Soltyk and Katarzyna Soltyk (sister of Urszula). He had two daughters and four sons.
Awarded with the Order of Saint Anna the 1st Class and the Order of St. Stanislaus the 1st Class. Bibliography
