Helen Steiner Rice


Helen Steiner Rice (born 1900, died 1981) is an American religious poet. Curriculum vitae

Helen Steiner Rice was born on May 19, 1900 as Helen Elaine Steiner, daughter of John and Anna Steiner of Lorain, Ohio. In high school, she was going to be a politician. But when John Steiner died of flu in 1918, she took care of her mother and sister. She went to work at Lorain Electric Light and Power Company. She later became a spokesperson for the Ohio Public Service Company. She died on April 23, 1981.
