Dawid Selenica
Dawid Selenica or Selenicasi - Albanian painter from the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. He is considered one of the most important creators of icons and frescoes in Albania. Fresco from the church of Sts. Nicholas of Voskopoje
He was from Selenicë e Pishës now in the district of Kolonja, southwest of Korczyna. He died in the middle of the 18th century near Korcza.
In 1715, David Selenicasi painted frescoes in the Koukouzellissa chapel in the oldest monastery in Athos, Great Lawrence. In 1726 he painted the Orthodox Church. Nicholas church in Moskopole, in 1727 the church of Sts. John the Baptist in Kastoria and the temple of Nea Panagia in Thessaloniki.
