Tegulum spiders

Thaida male chepu coping apparatus; tegulum marked with Te

The tegulum is located on the male bollworm, where the main group is scabbed off by a second group of scabies. Its shape is complicated and very diverse. In general there are two basic types of construction: spherical to oval and disk. The latter group is classified when its height is less than ⅓ in diameter. The sides of the tegulum have the same height or the outer surface is swollen and larger than the medial. The haematodocha distalis is separated from the third group of the tegulum.

During the copulation at the crosses, the haematodromous bulb induces the rotation of the tegulum, which pushes the embolus into the female's copulation.
