Prison of Montelupi in Cracow - the place where the last death penalty in Poland was executed

Andrzej Czabański (born November 5, 1959, died April 21, 1988 in Cracow) is a Polish murderer, the last person on death row in Poland. It is also known as Stanislaw.

He was convicted on June 12, 1986 by the Regional Court in Tarnów for rape and brutal murder of a woman and attempted murder of two daughters murdered, but they managed to survive. After the Council of State had not exercised the right of grace, he was hanged on 21 April 1988 at 17:10 in the Montelupnik prison in Cracow. A moratorium on executions was introduced a few weeks later.
