Pseudosphaeriaceae
Pseudosphaeriaceae - family of fungi from the order of the nibs (Pseudosphaeriales), from the class of Ascomycetes. In the Index Fungorum, such a family does not exist.
Fungi from this family are parasitic organisms that live in the form of saprotrophs or as parasites. Many species of these fungi cause various plant diseases, many of which are very threatening for herbaceous plants and for woody plants.
The Pseudosphaeriaceae family is one of the most important families. Within this family are, among others. Mushrooms of the genus Venturia (causing, for example, Venturia inaequalis, Venturia pirina), Didymella causing black rot (Didymella lycopersici) or Ophiobolus.
