Sacramentum (Latin: 'sanctification, sworn, commitment') - institution of a process plant in Roman law.

In the legislative proceedings, each litis of the litas contestatio deposited in the temple a certain amount of money (originally a sacrificial animal). The losing party lost the title of the punishment poena sacramenti (initially for the temple, later the aerarium), the winning player recovered. Over time these requirements were relaxed by the obligation to pay the penalty only after the case was lost, for this purpose the parties had to present the promoters (praedes sacramenti).

The height of the sacramentum was, according to Table 2 of Law XII, based on the value of the subject matter of the dispute: 50 aces for the item below 1000 aces and 500 aces for the more valuable one. Stiffness of rates that could exceed the value of the subject matter of the dispute, along with the extreme formality of the process, caused a number of inconveniences. Gradually, the legis actio sacramento in rem was repaired by the actio in rem per sponsorship, which instead of the sacramentum was required to file a sponsio praeiudicialis (pledge to pay a small sum in the event of a loss). c Games World Cup Junior World Championship World Cup Places in general classification Continental Cup Places in general classification Letnie Grand Prix Places in general classification
