Iwan Krawal
Iwan Adamowicz Krawal (Russian: Иван Адамович Краваль, born 29 March 1897 in Viciebsk Governorate, died 26 September 1937) is a Soviet economist, activist of economic institutions and politicians. Curriculum vitae
Born in Latvian peasant family. In 1909-1915 he studied at the gymnasium in St. Petersburg and later worked at the railroad. In 1916-1917 he studied at the Petersberg Institute of Technology, and in the years 1918-1919 he worked as a pedagogue. In 1919 he became a member of the RKP (b), subsequently (1919-1921) studied at the Communist From 1921 to 1924, he was a delegate to the Supreme Economic Council of the USSR and a member of the Board of Directors of the Economic and Social Council. He was a doctor of economics. Between 1928 and 1930 he was a member of the Presidium, from 1929 to 1932 deputy of the People's Commissar of the USSR, then deputy head of the Central Office of National Economic Records and a member of the Bureau of the National Planning Committee at the People's Commissar's Council of the USSR (USSR Keeper). From August 1935 to May 1937 he was the head of the Central Office of National Economic Records and deputy chairman of the USSR Conservative. He was awarded the Order of Lenin. May 31, 1937 was sentenced to death by the Military College of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on charges of espionage and terrorist activity, then shot dead.
