Combined weapon

The name of a combined weapon has two meanings. First, it defines a hunting weapon that has both a threaded and a smooth barrel.

So it is not a combined weapon, for example, a double rifle or even a former shotgun threefold. They have only homogeneous barrels with the same properties, not a combination (combination) of threaded and smooth barrels. Combined weapon, in which the ball or shotgun barrels can play a dominant role, it is suitable for versatile use. Produced fairly widely in Germany and Austria, much less in the Czech Republic and Switzerland and little in the Scandinavian countries, has found application primarily among European hunters. Outside of the ocean, to America, only a small number of these weapons are sent from Colt-Sauer, Krieg-hoff and Blaser.

Among the currently produced many varieties of combined weapons, the following basic types and versions are distinguished: kniówki, kniówki-bok, trójlufkę (dryling), express-dryling, express-bokdry-ling, czwórlufkę.

Second, combined weapon means a device that is a combination of both firearms and weapons. So it is, for example, a saber connected to a pistol - a small pistol was mounted next to the blade. This weapon was quite popular at the initial stage of the development of firearms. Currently, it basically does not occur.
