AEG (weapon)
Line A - the blue metro line in Porto connecting the suburban oceanfront Matosinhos with the freguesia ("parish") of Campanhã in the east of Porto.

The construction of the line began on March 15, 1999 at Campanhã station, and in mid-July 2000, a 2.3 km tunnel between the mentioned station and Trindade was begun (it was completed in October 2002). At the end of June this year, trial courses were launched on the tram route section of Câmara de Matosinhos - Viso. Regular courses on the first 12-kilometer stretch between Senhor de Matosinhos and Trindade stations were officially inaugurated on December 7, 2002. On June 5, 2004, another episode was opened with further five stations.
