Wiktor Turin


Wiktor Aleksandrowicz Turin (Russian: Виктор Александрович Турин, born 1895, died 15 May 1945) - Soviet writer and documentary film director. Curriculum vitae

Born in St. Petersburg in 1895, he studied at a theater school. In 1912 he went to relatives in Boston (USA). He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1913-1916). For five years he worked in Hollywood as an actor and a libretto. He made documentaries Turksib (1929), Bakijczycy (1938). In the years 1943-1945 senior consultant "Sojuzintorgkino". He died in 1945.
