Niguma is a semi-traditional teacher in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, considered to be a dak.

Niguma was born in Kashmir, in a region called Earth of Great Magic, was a sister of Naropa, and according to some accounts his partner. According to legend, thanks to pure karma from previous lives, she had a vision of Budda Vajradhara's buddha and the explanation was received directly from him. In one instant she reached the eighth level of the bodhisattva and became a dakin of wisdom. His student was the founder of the Buddhist tradition of shangpa kagyu, Khjungpo Naldzior. From the Nigum there are practices known as the "Six Does of the Nigum" and next to the Six Jog Narrows they are one of the most important practices in the kagyu.
