Snorre Pedersen


Snorre Pedersen (born 3 July 1972 in Lillehammer) is a Norwegian sledgehammer and skeletonist, Olympian. Career

He started his sports career by sledging, taking eighth place at the 1991 World Junior Championships in Königssee. One year later, he competed in the Albertville Olympics, where he and Ralph Harold Rolfsen finished in sixth in the double. In the second half of the 90's he changed his discipline to skeleton; In 1999 he finished sixth in the world championships in Altenberg. His only podium in the World Cup was won on January 30, 2000 in Lillehammer, where he was second. In those competitions, he split on the Canadian podium Jeff Pain and Kristan Bromley from Great Britain. In the overall ranking of the 1999/2000 season he finished fifth. In 2002 he took part in the Salt Lake City Olympic Games, occupying 14th place.
