Telemea - Romanian spicy cheese (similar in appearance to the Greek feta) with a nutty flavor.

It can be made from cow's or sheep's milk. It is lightly salted and flavored with herbs. It can have a high level of water content, which makes it semi-soft, creamy, white cheese. It is stored in wooden barrels called "putini". They have a mass of one kilogram and dimensions of 10.5 x 10.5 x 8-9 cm.

It can be served as a snack, as well as a salad ingredient and an addition to omelette or other cakes. The area of ​​the most intense production of telemei is around Sibiu.
